I ran down at Raccoon River park which is a 3.2 mile loop around the lake. It is very flat, good route for interval training.
My first mile was the slowest at 6:45, and the third was the fastest at 6:11. I ended up averaging 6:24 pace for 6.5 miles. I have to learn to run a more even pace. I don't know how true the Garmin is, but I have a hard time holding within 5 seconds from mile to mile.
I will probably take tomorrow off and then do 12 miles on Saturday and then start the taper.
